During a recent stay at Forster Motor Inn, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's restaurant, which presents a charming atmosphere for those keen on exploring local flavors. The dining experience began with a delightful breakfast for just $10 for two. The fresh ingredients spoke volumes, reminiscent of the simplicity found in a Sri Lankan tea estate breakfast. I couldn't resist trying the Sydney rock oysters, renowned and rightfully so; they were served chilled, a refreshing treat that echoed coastal dining memories from home. While the location is convenient to various eateries—like All Things Yum and Little Street Kitchen—having the option to dine in proved convenient. The ambiance is laid-back, perfect for both family gatherings and quiet meals. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and it felt like a home away from home. If you’re flitting between culinary experiences, Forster Motor Inn should certainly be on your list. It's not just a place to rest but also to savor local delights, bridging the gap between two beloved cultures of tea and fresh seafood.
